We make the Brain tick...........

What is TMS?

Transcranial magnetic stimulation, or TMS (Bulk Bill), is a non-invasive form of brain stimulation. TMS devices operate completely outside of the body and affect central nervous system activity by applying magnetic fields to specific areas of the brain that we know are involved in depression and other conditions such as anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), chronic pain, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

At our clinic we use repetitive Transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to precisely target the area of the brain that is involved in depression and other conditions.

What is Depression?

While we all feel sad, moody or low from time to time, some people experience these feelings intensely, for long periods of time (weeks, months or even years) and sometimes without any apparent reason.

Depression is more than just a low mood – it’s a serious condition that affects your physical and mental health.

How TMS work?

During an rTMS session, an electromagnetic coil is placed against your scalp near your forehead. The electromagnet painlessly delivers a magnetic pulse that stimulates nerve cells in the region of your brain involved in mood control and depression.
